Three beautiful pottery figures on a black pedestal; "Fu Lu Shou," popular Chinese deities representing good fortune, prosperity and long life.
Fu (Luck): Often depicted as a scholar, symbolizing blessings and good fortune.
Lu (Prosperity): Associated with wealth, status and influence, often depicted with symbols of prosperity.
Shou (Long Life): Recognizable by his high forehead and the peach he carries, symbolizing immortality and long life.
These figures are often decorative objects and powerful symbols of positive aspirations.
Their iconic depiction as three ancient wise men with beards dates back to the Ming Dynasty.
They are sometimes identified with other deities from Chinese religion or Daoism. They emerged from Chinese folk religion.
