Weimar Porzellan is a German company that began producing porcelain in 1790. It was then that it received a royal license to produce porcelain. Since then, high-quality porcelain has been produced to the highest standards. It embodies the spirit of the classic Weimar age with its desire for harmony and beauty. Sophisticated craftsmanship, attention to detail and a rich tradition have contributed to the company’s many years of success. Classic tableware from the KATHARINA, CHATEAU and BELVEDERE series are still appreciated today. The name Weimar Porcelain still stands for one of the oldest and most beautiful companies creating handmade porcelain in Germany and Europe. In January 2007, Könitz Porzellan GmbH acquired Weimar Porzellan. The managing director and owner of the company today is Turpin Rosenthal, who represents the sixth generation of his family, actively involved in the porcelain industry.
