Beautiful, hand-blown vintage design vase in a highly sought-after pastel pink / powder pink color. This unique vase is an iconic example of European glass art design from the 1980s and makes an absolute eye-catcher in a modern, eclectic, or mid-century interior.
Origin & Design: The vase presumably originates from the renowned Polish glass factory Huta Szkła Tarnowiec and is a well-known design by the celebrated glass artist Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz. The glass is artisanally hand-formed (soda glass). This is beautifully visible on the base (ground foot ring with pontil mark) and the flowing, transparent glass pleats at the rim of the vase. The exterior is made of opaque pink opaline glass, while the interior is laminated white/transparent.
Period: ca. 1950-1980
Condition: The vase is in excellent vintage condition. The glass is clear, completely lime-free, and has absolutely no chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Minimal, normal signs of age on the underside of the base ring.
