Product description
The lamp consists of a transparent plexiglass frame covered with nylon thread. The nylon forms a kind of geometric spiderweb around the frame. When the lamp is lit, this creates a very special interplay of light, shadow, and transparency. Height: 68 cm. Ø: 30 cm. Shade height: 35 cm. Origin: Germany, 1960s. Material: plexiglass, nylon thread. Paul Secon (1916–2007) designed various versions of this type of lamp for Sompex, resulting in multiple shapes and versions. Sompex was a German company founded in 1948 that initially focused on, among other things, the import of Scandinavian design. The company moved to Düsseldorf in 1950 and specialized in lighting.
