This vintage serving trolley is a design by David Lange for the French manufacturer Marais, dating from the 1970s. Part of the 'Les Invisibles de Marais' series, this piece of furniture illustrates the fascination with transparent materials in the design of that decade. The trolley is crafted from clear plexiglass, creating a floating, unobtrusive effect in the room. The construction consists of two levels connected by subtle gold-colored metal screws. The entire piece rests on four swivel casters with a gold-colored finish, forming an elegant contrast with the transparent material. The original Marais care instructions are still present, confirming the authenticity of the piece. The serving trolley is in good condition commensurate with its age and use. The plexiglass has retained its clarity and the construction is structurally intact. The wheels function properly.
