Rare Vintage Peter Sedcole sculpture of a female nude made of cold-cast bronze resin from the 1960s.
Peter Sedcole is an artist born in New Zealand. His works often feature indigenous themes, such as his famous sculpture "Head of a Young Aboriginal Girl" (1981).
He is also known for his lifelike bronze busts and resin sculptures with a bronze patina.
Bronzed resin, also called cold-cast bronze or bronze resin, is a material consisting of a mixture of bronze powder and resin. It is used to create sculptures and art objects that look like real, solid bronze, but are easier and lighter to produce.
This female sculpture is in good vintage condition and measures 41 cm long, 16 cm wide, and 10 cm high.
The sculpture is signed on the back (see photo).
