This vintage Vitrika pendant light from the 1960s is a striking example of mid-century Scandinavian lighting design. The combination of textured glass and metallic accents lends this design a timeless elegance that is captivating whether switched on or off.
The light features a two-tiered shade of clear textured glass that refracts the light in a fascinating way, distributing a warm, glare-free glow throughout the room. The upper cover, made of brushed metal, likely aluminum, with radial cutouts, provides additional upward light diffusion and emphasizes the industrial character of the design. The light is designed for an E27 socket and is suspended from a white fabric cable.
The light is in very good condition, with an intact glass structure and an original metal finish that displays a light, age-appropriate patina. The construction is solid and the light fixture is fully functional, completely preserving the original character of its 1960s design.
