This is a Dutch flowerpot from the middle of the last century, made of copper (the body), brass (the base and handles), and porcelain (the handles). The porcelain handles are hand-painted in Delft Blue, featuring blue floral motifs on a white background. Due to age and use, the pot shows some dents and patina here and there, but this contributes to the cozy, old-fashioned Dutch farmhouse charm. The handles have been reattached with new silver-colored screws.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to place a plant in this pot, use an inner pot and do not throw soil directly into the pot. This will only cause the copper to rust and wear down faster. When watering, remove the inner pot and water the plant from a saucer. Once the plant has absorbed all the water, you can safely place the plant back in the copper pot. I have such old flowerpots in my home myself, and this is how I ensure they remain in their current condition for as long as possible. Height: 12 centimeters
Width: 23 centimeters
Depth: 14 centimeters
