An elegant vintage office cabinet from the renowned U-series, designed by Jiří Jiroutek for the Czechoslovakian manufacturer Interiér Praha. The clean lines of the cabinet, with its warm wood veneer and slender black metal legs, exemplify the minimalist, functional design language of 1960s Czechoslovakian design. Behind the two lockable doors lies a meticulously organized interior. Various open compartments are complemented by several removable and adjustable shelves and shallow document trays. A characteristic feature is the contrast between the understated, almost handle-free front and the functionally designed interior. The doors are secured with a central lock; the original key is included. The raised black metal legs lend the compact cabinet a light and airy appearance. The largely intact original fittings and the period-typical construction make this cabinet a fine example of Czechoslovakian mid-century design. Its simple design allows it to be integrated into modern living spaces as well as offices, studios, or commercial spaces. Condition: Good, authentic vintage condition with age-related wear. The veneer shows minor scratches, edge and surface marks, and slight irregularities. Some signs of wear are also visible inside. Dimensions: L100 x W38 x H90 cm
