Rare desk lamp from the Space Age period.
National model FS 192E, manufactured by Matsushita Electric Japan in June 1969.
The National brand was first used by Konosuke Matsushita's electronics company. In October 2008, Matsushita changed its company name to Panasonic Corporation.
The lamp's design is based on the streamlined design of airplanes in the late 1960s.
The flexible arm allows the lamp to be positioned in virtually any direction. A suspension loop is located on the underside of the base, allowing the lamp to even be used as a wall lamp.
The lamp still contains the original National fluorescent bulb. The fluorescent bulb can, of course, also be replaced with an LED fluorescent bulb, which is now commonly available.
Condition: Very good.
Only two visible cracks in the plastic shade have been repaired (and are no longer split); otherwise, the lamp is in excellent condition. See photos 2 and 3 for the cracks.
