A fabulous mid-century retro vintage compact sideboard or low bookcase by Nathan, dating from circa 1960–1970, from the highly stylish Squares range. A wonderfully versatile little piece that combines beautiful natural teak, clever storage and distinctive Scandinavian and Danish-inspired design.
Despite its compact dimensions, this charming piece offers an impressive amount of functionality. The upper section features a large spacious drawer with beautifully rounded wooden pulls, perfect for storing smaller household essentials, while directly underneath is an open shelf, ideal for books, magazines, records or displaying favourite decorative pieces.
The lower section is enclosed behind two panelled doors, featuring Nathan's distinctive geometric square pattern. This eye-catching detail adds texture and character while concealing useful storage space inside.
Crafted from warm, naturally grained teak, the beautiful wood grain gives this compact cabinet a rich and inviting appearance. Its clean lines, geometric detailing and elegant proportions reflect the strong influence of Scandinavian and Danish modern design that became so popular during the 1960s.
