A slender and very elegant vintage designer vase in the iconic Sommerso style (Murano). At the time, these vases were also made in Poland (such as Krosno) and the former Czechoslovakia (Chribska), and without a label or initials, the maker is unknown.
This mouth-blown object from the 1960s/70s features a beautiful, dynamic twist in the glass.
The vase is constructed using the traditional layered technique: a deep purple/aubergine-colored core that flows smoothly into a bright blue layer, enclosed in thick, transparent crystal glass.
The vase stands on a characteristic, organically shaped base and, with a height of 30 cm, is a slender addition to any sideboard or windowsill.
Condition: In beautiful vintage condition. The vase has a small, typical 'mussel chip' (a shell-shaped chip in the glass, see the last photo) on the top rim. This is particularly visible when the vase is tilted and does not detract from its decorative value.
