Exceptional vintage Murano Sommerso glass vase with a very sculptural, organic form. The vase is constructed from multiple transparent glass layers in emerald green, cobalt blue, violet/purple, and pink, creating beautiful color changes depending on the light. The two gracefully upward-curving ends give the vase a characteristic and almost abstract silhouette. The glass is heavy and solid, with a beautifully polished finish. The shape and glasswork show strong similarities to Sommerso work from the circle of Seguso Vetri d’Arte and Flavio Poli from the 1950s–60s. However, there is no label or signature present, making the attribution impossible to establish with certainty. Dimensions: * Height: 25.5 cm * Width: 11 cm * Depth: 5 cm * Weight: 1,176 grams Condition: Good vintage condition. The base is flat-ground and fully polished. No label or signature present. Please examine the photos carefully for the exact condition. A striking decorative collector's item for lovers of Murano, Italian design, and vintage glass. A true eye-catcher due to the combination of color, weight, and sculptural form. Period: circa 1955–1965 Origin: presumably Murano, Italy Technique: Sommerso / cased glass Designer: possibly Flavio Poli, unsigned
