This authentic vintage Moroccan Boujad rug dates from the 1970s–1980s and originates from the Boujad region in central Morocco, an area celebrated for its bold colors and expressive Berber symbolism. Entirely handwoven by Berber women using traditional techniques, this rug is a beautiful example of authentic Moroccan tribal weaving.
Crafted from 100% natural sheep wool, this Boujad rug features a structured composition of diamond motifs arranged in horizontal bands, enriched with ancestral Berber symbols. The color palette blends warm shades of red, orange, terracotta, ochre, and soft beige, with subtle variations that give the rug depth and movement.
