This modernist lounge chair was manufactured in Scandinavia during the 1970s. Upholstered in high-quality black natural leather with a beautiful patina and subtle signs of wear, it adds an authentic touch. It boasts an ergonomic design. The generous, softly contoured backrest with a distinctive headrest cradles the body, while the deep seat provides exceptional comfort. The headrest cushion is attached with velcro, while the other two are loosely placed. The armrests are integrated into the body of the chair. The backrest is adjustable. The base is a solid wooden swivel base that allows for free movement and comfortable positioning, regardless of the space. Inspired by the Selig Imperial brand and Danish design of the period, this armchair is more than just a seat; it's an invitation to relaxation. It's a timeless proposition for lovers of good design, in the spirit of Mid-Century Modern, which combines functionality, comfort, and timeless style. This piece of furniture will fit perfectly into spaces decorated in Scandinavian, loft, or eclectic styles. It will look great in a home library, a modern office, or a living room. It will be not only a functional addition but also a distinctive element of interior design.
The armchair is in original vintage condition. It shows minor signs of age-related wear, minor scrapes and a natural patina. There are traces of glue on the velcro fasteners (under the cushions). The seat height is 45 cm.
