Product description
This modernist console table with a mirror, the Ambassador model, was made by the Swedish manufacturer Fröseke Nybrofabriken AB during the 1960s. The cabinet is finished in dark rosewood. Its structure is very strong, with a distinctive grain, giving furniture made from this wood a highly decorative and luxurious appearance. The piece features three deep drawers with metal handles and two flat shelves. The entire piece rests on a high, black plinth. The mirror is a separate piece, allowing for flexible positioning. The mirror frame is made of rosewood and metal.
AB Nybrofabriken (later known as Fröseke AB) is a renowned Swedish furniture manufacturer from Fröseke, which played a significant role in popularizing the Scandinavian Modern style in the mid-20th century. Its most recognizable designs include elegant mirrors in wooden frames, coffee tables, chests of drawers with distinctive leather handles, and hallway furniture. Today, Fröseke is primarily associated with high-quality craftsmanship and a minimalist aesthetic that perfectly complements modern interiors.
This set is in original vintage condition with traces of age and has a natural patina. It has some chips, abrasions, scrapes and marks on the metal handles. The mirror surface is original and in very good condition.
