This is not just a chair – it is a rescued icon of Polish mid-century design.
The Model 200-190, created by Rajmund Hałas in the 1960s, was one of the most popular chairs in post-war Poland. Today, after professional restoration, it regains its rightful place as part of our national cultural heritage, appreciated not only in private collections but also by design historians and museums.
Each chair is crafted from solid beechwood. In our workshop, we carefully restored the frame while respecting its original character. The seat and backrest have been newly upholstered with high-quality fabrics, ensuring both durability and comfort. These chairs are now ready to serve for generations to come.
For us, restoration is more than craftsmanship – it is also a way of protecting the environment. By saving and renewing unique pieces instead of producing new furniture, we reduce waste and give timeless design a second life.
Owning a Hałas chair means surrounding yourself with history, heritage, and sustainability – a true European design classic.
