Product description
For sale is a beautiful, original mid-century chaise longue from the 1950s. This piece of furniture is a true heirloom and accompanied my parents when they moved into our family home. The occasion was so significant that a photograph was taken and included in a book about my father's life story.
Special Details:
* Design: Organically curved shape, typical of 1950s modern design.
* Upholstery: High-quality brown corduroy fabric in very good condition. The decorative nails (rivets) used to attach the fabric to the frame are particularly noteworthy.
* Wood: The frame has a beautiful, warm, and slightly reddish tone (solid wood) with the characteristic splayed legs. The wood is in excellent condition.
* Condition: The fabric and wood are in superb visual condition. Only the upholstery has become slightly uneven over the decades, which is normal for an original piece from this era and does not detract from the comfort of the bed with a throw or simple padding.
