Unlike modern imitations, each piece of this set has been restored using the traditional Japanese method:
Natural Urushi Lacquer: The cracks were treated with pure vegetable lacquer for complete authenticity.
Ki Roiro Finish: The repair lines feature a deep, glossy black (Ki Roiro), creating an elegant dialogue with the matte black and ochre glaze of the original set.
Ki Urushi Protection: A final layer of clear lacquer (Ki Urushi) was applied to seal the work and ensure the restoration's durability.
