A beautiful example of Dutch minimalist design from the 70s and 80s.
This Lumiance (formerly Hiemstra Evolux) wall spotlight is an icon of "Space Age" design, produced in Haarlem. The lamp features the characteristic cylindrical head on a ball joint, allowing the light beam to rotate 360 degrees and tilt deeply. Ideal as a bedside reading lamp or as accent lighting for art and interiors.
Condition:
This unit is in exceptional vintage condition. The original white powder coating is clear, glossy, and shows no discoloration from heat or scratches. The swivel mechanism is still very sturdy and stays in any desired position. The original integrated push button on the base works perfectly.
Installation:
Unique to this lot is the presence of the original mounting bracket. This allows the lamp to be mounted directly, securely, and flush against the wall. The lamp is designed for direct connection to the mains (hardwired), but can easily be fitted with a cord and plug if desired. Specifications:
