Product description
Generous vintage leather sofa made of dark brown leather, presumably from the late 1970s. The design is exemplary of the voluminous, comfort-oriented design language of this period and combines a striking presence with a softly padded, inviting appearance. Characteristic is the strongly articulated upholstery of the seat and backrest. Numerous individually stitched upholstery segments create a rhythmic, almost graphic structure and give the sofa its distinctive look. The high, slightly reclined backrest is framed by wide, softly padded armrests that flow seamlessly into the closed, floor-level body. The appearance of the dark brown leather, developed over the years, is particularly beautiful. Wrinkles, different color nuances and the pronounced patina of the seat surface emphasize the authentic vintage character and give the sofa a warm, lived-in appeal. Despite its generous dimensions, the design appears balanced and architectural due to the regular articulation of the upholstery. Condition: Good vintage condition with clear age-related traces on the leather. Especially the seat surface and the lower edges show abrasion, scratches and color changes. The existing patina is clearly visible in the pictures and characterizes the authentic nature of the sofa. Overall, the sofa presents itself beautifully and is fully usable.
