Product description
Børge Mogensen completed an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture architecture under Kaare Klint in Copenhagen from 1936 to 1941. After assisting him and heading the furniture department at the Association of Danish Consumer Cooperatives, Mogensen founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 1950 and from then on worked on behalf of various Danish furniture manufacturers. He developed modular designs that could be used for multiple purposes. His aim was to create furniture for "average families" that met their requirements and financial possibilities.
The sofa is in very good condition. However, vintage items may show some slight signs of wear such as unobtrusive creases in the leather and other signs of time.
