Large Scandinavian modern wall mirror with a solid teak frame and softly rounded corners attributed to Aksel Kjersgaard. The design features contrasting wood tones with exposed circular joinery details at each corner, highlighting the craftsmanship and construction of the piece.
The warm teak grain and rectangular frame give the mirror a quiet architectural presence. Its balanced proportions and subtle detailing reflect the restrained elegance associated with mid-century Scandinavian interiors.
The frame is crafted from two tones of wood, creating a refined contrast between the lighter and darker teak elements. Rounded edges and visible dowel joinery add depth and texture while emphasizing the handmade quality of the construction.
This mirror is attributed to Danish designer Aksel Kjersgaard (Odder / Aarhus, Denmark), whose work is known for its refined Scandinavian modern aesthetic and exceptional woodworking craftsmanship. Active during the mid-century period, Kjersgaard produced mirrors and furniture in teak with a strong focus on proportion, material quality and subtle construction details. The exposed joinery and softly rounded frame reflect the functional yet sculptural character of Scandinavian minimal design.
