This vintage Lacoste retail advertising lightbox represents a compelling piece of commercial design history. The fixture features the brand's iconic crocodile emblem and typography, capturing the distinct visual identity of the renowned French sportswear manufacturer.
Constructed with a plastic faceplate set within a frame, the sign is illuminated by an internal fluorescent tube. The front panel displays the classic green Lacoste logo against a yellow background, complete with the "PARIS" designation. A manufacturer's label on the reverse indicates production by Ideal Marque, noting "Modèle Déposé" alongside historical telephone numbers, authenticating its origin as a genuine retail display piece from circa 1985.
The lightbox remains in functional condition, retaining its original character and structural integrity. The internal wiring and lighting components are present and operational, preserving the piece's intended utility as an illuminated display.
The lightbox is in good condition, but not without scratches. One of the original spacers is missing as seen on the side photograph. The white plastic has colored to a warmer yellow tint.
