Product description
Kokeshi craft is a centuries-old Japanese tradition.
It began around 1800 as a simple doll for every child. Each province in Japan has its own unique shape and/or painting.
These hand-turned traditional Kokeshi date from around 1960-1970 and are signed on the bottom by the maker. They are in excellent condition considering their age.
This doll is 21 cm tall.
Considering their age, they are in very good condition. The paint and wood have naturally discolored somewhat over the years, which, in my opinion, only adds to their charm.
