A Spectacular Vintage Italian Sorrento drinks trolley dating from circa the 1970s, combining beautifully figured walnut, intricate traditional inlay and wonderfully decorative copper detailing.
This charming and highly unusual trolley features a round upper serving top surrounded by an elegant pierced copper gallery. The top incorporates folding drop-leaf flaps, allowing the trolley to be opened out to create a generous serving surface when entertaining.
The upper section is supported by beautifully twisted wooden uprights, adding a wonderfully decorative, almost sculptural quality to the piece. Beneath, the lower tier features intricate walnut inlay together with dedicated copper drink storage, making it both a practical serving piece and an exceptionally attractive decorative object.
The combination of rich walnut, elaborate inlay, warm copper and ornate detailing is quintessentially Italian, while the ingenious folding construction makes the trolley surprisingly versatile.
