A beautiful and extremely elegant handmade glass sculpture of a female figure in an acrobatic or burlesque pose with a flowing ribbon.
This refined object is a family heirloom and presumably dates from the second half of the 20th century.
The sculpture is crafted using the complex 'lume' (lampwork) technique, in which various colored glass rods have been hand-fused together into a single dynamic whole. The body is made of deep black glass, which transitions very subtly into a brilliant, semi-transparent ruby red at the limbs and hair.
The whole rests on a graceful, transparent glass tripod.
This type of unique glass art is strongly inspired by the traditional Venetian Murano style. The object is in absolutely perfect condition, without damage, chips, or internal cracks. There is no physical signature or certificate present, but the craftsmanship and fluid anatomical details speak for themselves. Specifications:
