The vase is a perfect example of the Neo-Archaic style, decorated with the complex "sgraffito" technique depicting a winged griffin surrounded by geometric motifs. The body is embellished with two circular medallions in relief and twisted handles. This piece represents the excellence of Italian export manufacturing in the 1950s, combining the allure of archaeology with modern postwar design.
