This is a stunning vintage Chinese porcelain collector plate from the renowned Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain factory.
It features Pao-Chai (Baochai), one of the iconic characters from the famous 18th-century Chinese literary epic Dream of the Red Chamber. This plate belongs to the highly sought-after Beauties of the Red Mansion series, originally issued in the late 1980s.
Design & ArtistryThe plate showcases masterful, vibrant artwork depicting Pao-Chai in traditional flowing robes holding a decorative fan, set against a serene landscape background. The scene is framed by an intricate, classic blue and multi-colored geometric border. It includes authentic calligraphy, artist marks, and the official red seal on the face of the plate.
Material: Fine Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Free of chips, cracks, or visible fading. Colors remain exceptionally bright and the glaze is smooth and glossy.
