Offered: an absolute design classic from the 80s, the iconic IKEA Moment sofa, designed by Niels Gammelgaard. A beautiful minimalist piece of furniture featuring the well-known tubular steel frame.
Condition of the sofa
Frame: The metal frame is still in excellent and sturdy condition. No deep scratches or rust.
Cushions: The original cushions are present, but they have faded due to the sun and the foam has also lost its firmness. One of the zippers (seat cushion) is broken. This is not visible. The sofa therefore needs to be given a new look.
Smart and inexpensive tip for the buyer: You do not need to have this sofa expensively reupholstered. There are various online providers that supply ready-made, affordable covers for IKEA model series. Additionally, you can very easily and affordably order custom-made cushions online in any desired color and thickness. You can even use the current cushions perfectly as a template. Newly upholstered, these sofas quickly fetch more than €1,200 on design platforms. So, with a little love, you can turn this into a beautiful vintage design statement yourself for a fraction of that price. But you can also enjoy it yourself; it is a sleek and beautiful piece of furniture.
