This impressive large-scale rug is a quintessential piece of 1970s Hungarian design. Produced by the renowned Soproni Szőnyeggyár (Sopron Carpet Factory), the "Alfa" model is celebrated for its bold, psychedelic pattern and rich autumnal palette of ochre, chocolate brown, and vivid yellow. It represents the height of Space Age and Pop Art influence on Eastern European textile production during the mid-70s.
The rug is in excellent original condition, retaining its vibrant colors and plush texture despite its age.
