This original highboard from the 1960s consists of two sections and is of high-quality craftsmanship.
It was produced by the Marx Furniture Factory OHG in Friedrichroda, Thuringia. This is the "Berlin" model. A certificate of authenticity is included.
The frame is made of beech and spruce wood, the surfaces are finished with pear veneer, and the fronts are polished.
Four keys are included.
The upper section consists of a large display cabinet with an elegant curve. It is accessed via two sliding glass doors with gold trim.
Two height-adjustable glass shelves divide the storage space. Behind the right-hand double doors is additional storage space with two wooden shelves.
The lower section offers additional storage. On the left side, behind a door, are three drawers, one of which has an integrated cutlery system.
In the center is a double door, and on the right is another hinged door. Both storage compartments have a wooden shelf.
This highboard is a characteristic piece of furniture from the mid-century modern era, offering ample storage space and an impressive display cabinet, ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, or studies.

The piece is sturdy, fully functional, and undamaged. Signs of wear, such as minor dents and slight discoloration, are present.
➡️ Refurbishment:
The piece has been thoroughly cleaned. The wood surfaces have been intensively cleaned and treated with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
