Over eight decades of history closed in a single, original object. The hand-woven Tribal Oriental rug, woven around the 1940s. This historic rug is an example of tribal weaving, where practicality meets intuitive, almost painterly composition. Its pattern is not subordinated to mathematical perfection. Quite the opposite! Subtle differences in the design, proportions, and rhythm of the ornaments are testament to the handiwork and give it an authenticity that is impossible to replicate in modern production. The dominant composition is formed by geometric medallions and fields filled with small plant motifs and abstract symbols. Deep navy blue intertwines with red, olive green, ochre, and a natural shade of ivory. The palette is refined, slightly aged, and full of tonal nuances. Over time, the colors have acquired a characteristic softness and depth. This rug is for interiors that don't need decoration, but rather a sense of history. Its strong yet muted palette harmonizes perfectly with natural wood, stone, linen, leather, and contemporary architectural forms.
