Product description
This is an antique highback chair re-upholstered with original handmade Turkish Kelim at the rug store we bought it from, making it one of a kind. This big, prominent chair was the perfect centerpiece of my old apartment in Budapest, which had a dark library and personal museum of my world travels. This piece is not a natural complement to a Scandinavian design interior. Unfortunately, the photos were taken in my new building apartment in Amsterdam and not in its natural setting aesthetically. The seat padding and springs are original, as is all the carved woodwork. The seams along the arms are stitched with dark red silk braiding to conceal and accent. It's a chair I am not happy to part with, but it no longer fits with me here. So it's time to help it find a new home where it belongs. Please don't bother with lowball offers; I'm not in a great hurry to sell, so only earnest offers will be considered. I can possibly deliver this chair in the Benelux+ region.
