The iconic nine-sphere structure has been recreated using natural materials, with the spheres and base elaborately decorated with small seashells and other applied elements. The connecting rods have a warm natural finish, giving the futuristic Atomium form a charming folk-art character. Unlike the more commonly encountered metal Expo 58 models, this example stands out for its highly decorative, handcrafted construction.
