A brilliant and extremely atmospheric vintage porcelain Candle holder by the Shimabara brand. Fully hand-painted and richly decorated in the classic Imari style with detailed orange and blue floral patterns and subtle gold accents. An absolute eye-catcher that looks beautiful on a dresser, dining table or mantelpiece, and fits perfectly into an eclectic, vintage or modern 'Japandi' interior. Brand: Shimabara Style: Japanese / Imari / Japandi Material: Hand-painted porcelain Dating: Second half of the 20th century (Vintage) Dimensions: Height approx. 12 cm, base diameter approx. 10.5 cm Condition: The Candle holder is in excellent, beautiful glossy condition (as if new from the store). The glaze and gilding are completely intact. Only on the untreated base ring on the underside are some slight, normal signs of age/use visible (see detail photo). This is completely invisible when the Candle holder is upright. Please note: Shipping is simply via cheap parcel post via Whoppah, not via an expensive courier! This applies to all my listings, but the system keeps indicating this incorrectly in the overview.
