Beautiful vintage English globe globe with compass, resting on an oak round base in art deco style, dated 40-50s, strangely not marked with makers mark.
The map includes French West Africa, Indochina and Belgian Congo, through these countries we can perfectly date this characterful globe as being from the 1950s or earlier (until 1934 when Persia became Iran).
In good vintage condition, with marks appropriate to its age, some light damage and discoloration, characterful object that will attract a lot of attention and be a talking point in your interior! Check the photos for more details.
