This Diamond glass vase was designed by Asta Strömberg for the Swedish glassworks Strömbergshyttan in the 1960s. The vase is made of high quality thick ice blue glass. It creates very interesting visual effects due to the refraction of light on the angular walls. This vase is a beautiful example of iconic Swedish mid-century design.Asta Strömberg (1916-2011) was one of the leading Swedish glass artists of the 20th century. She was an exceptional creator of thick-walled art glass with geometric shapes and classical expression. Her art is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.This vase is in its original condition. It has a millimeter loss at the entrance and normal wear..
