Very elegant glass plate light produced by the Napako company in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The light is very typical of the mid-century design era, also known as the Brussels era in Czechoslovak design. This was the era of the EXPO, a design exhibition held in Brussels in 1958 where Czechoslovakia received a gold medal in design. These plate lamps were part of the Czechoslovakian collection at the exhibition. This ceiling lamp contains a glass plate decorated with gray and yellow stripes. Excellent condition of the plate and glass, some wear is visible on the metal construction. Beautiful and very elegant object.
