An exceptional Murano glass object from the 1970s, combining an ashtray and candle holder in a single sculptural form. The organically shaped glass body features a central bowl and two integrated side holders for taper candles. Solid clear glass encases warm amber and honey tones that flow through the body like serene lines. The asymmetrical, free-form silhouette and strong three-dimensional effect are characteristic of Italian glass design of this period. With candles inserted, the piece becomes a particularly decorative table object, but it also functions equally well as an ashtray or a striking centerpiece.
