Set of 6, vintage, rectangular-shaped knife rests by renowned faience/porcelain, ceramic maker, Gien, France, circa 50's- 60's.
Pieces are made of Faience (Fine Tin Glazed) ceramic, showcasing a beautiful, royal blue and white, floral decorative pattern on the top and sides, attributed to Gien (see photos.)
The set is overall good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structures and bases, as can be expected for pieces of this age (see photos). Some old marks of age and previous use on some corners/edges of a few (see photos with a 1 cent coin for perspective). All six can still be used as designed, or as decorative objects on a shelf, sideboard or elsewhere.
They have only been gently cleaned, with respect to their original patina of time.
All photos taken in natural, indoor light, so colors may vary, based upon brightness, reflections, angles and perspective in which they are viewed.
Being sold as a set only.
