Beautiful vintage French tripod stool (tabouret) featuring iconic, heavily carved 'barley twist' (corkscrew) legs. This characterful piece showcases authentic mid-century craftsmanship. Hand-turned from solid hardwood (likely oak or chestnut), the stool is in excellent, sturdy vintage condition. Its thick, spiraled legs give it a striking brutalist silhouette that seamlessly complements modern, Japandi, or Wabi-Sabi interior design styles. On the underside of the seat, the original, deep mechanical lathe mark is clearly visible—a fantastic hallmark confirming traditional mid-century workshop production rather than mass-produced replica work.
