Vintage framed maritime lithograph by F. Roux, "Le Napoléon" ship boat, from the 1960s. The lithograph is beautifully framed with a black glass mount with a gold border.
This framed print depicts the French ship of the line "Le Napoléon" in the 19th century.
The original artwork is by renowned maritime artist Frédéric Roux.
"Le Napoléon," launched in 1850, was the world's first purpose-built steamship to function as a full-fledged ship of the line.
The image depicts the ship at sea, where the combination of sail and steam power is characteristic of this historic transitional period in maritime navigation.
The maritime painting is in good vintage condition. It is 39.5 cm long, 32.2 cm high, and has a diameter of 1 cm.
