Iconic FD 516 coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Daverkosen, Denmark, during the 1950s. This early production example retains the original FD maker's mark underneath.
Crafted in teak, the table is distinguished by its elegantly tapered legs, softly shaped tabletop and signature suspended woven rattan magazine shelf. The refined proportions and light architectural appearance make it one of the most celebrated designs of early Danish Modern furniture.
The tabletop has been professionally refinished and is presented in beautiful condition. The table remains in very good vintage condition overall with only minor age-related signs of use.
A timeless Danish design classic by one of the country's most influential design partnerships, combining exceptional craftsmanship with everyday functionality.
