This vintage pendant lamp by Hustadt-Leuchten is a characteristic example of the Fat Lava ceramic style from the 1960s and 1970s. The design stands out due to its robust texture and the characteristic glazing technique that defines this period in West German ceramic production.
The lamp is crafted from ceramic and finished in a palette of brown and beige, where the glaze creates an organic, almost volcanic surface. The round shape features a series of circular cutouts along the bottom edge, ensuring a playful light diffusion. The original manufacturer's label, Hustadt-Leuchten from Neheim-Hüsten, is still present on the inside. The lamp is fitted with new wiring, ensuring functionality for contemporary use.
The fixture is in very good condition, with the original finish and characteristic glaze excellently preserved. The new wiring ensures safe and reliable operation.
This lighting fixture looks particularly good in a vintage or eclectic interior. The warm earth tones and distinctive texture make it a striking element above a dining table or in a seating area.
