Its dodecagonal shape with twelve clean facets, its wide rim, and its fine cream faience make it a unique piece within the production of the Digoin-Sarreguemines factory. In the center, a large burgundy rose blossoms among blue forget-me-nots, deep green leaves, and cobalt berries, all framed by a thin blue line on the rim. Every brushstroke reveals the artisan's hand. The Digoin-Sarreguemines factory, founded in 1919 from the merger of two major Lorraine and Burgundy houses, produced some of the most sought-after designs in French faience during the 20th century. The design number 9177 and the sober typographic stamp style date this piece to the 1930s-1940s. Diameter: approximately 30 cm. Good condition.
