Set of two Result chairs, designed by Friso Kramer for Gispen, produced in The Netherlands during the 1960s. The Result chair is one of the most iconic designs of post-war Dutch modernism and is widely regarded as a benchmark in functional, democratic design.
This particular set features upholstered seats and backrests in two complementary tones: one in a muted moss green and the other in a brown-grey fabric upholstery. Both chairs are supported by black lacquered metal frames, emphasizing the sober, utilitarian character that defines Kramer’s work.
Originally developed for educational and institutional environments, the Result chair was designed to be robust, comfortable, and economical in production. Over time, it has become a highly collectible design classic, appreciated not only for its historical significance but also for its timeless aesthetic and versatility in contemporary interiors.
The chairs are in good vintage condition, showing light signs of use consistent with age and original use. These traces contribute to their authentic character and underline their honest, functional origins. Dimensions: Height 80 Width 46 Depth 48 Seating height 47 cm.
