This table lamp/base is a design by the Italian artist Dino Martens for the renowned glass studio Aureliano Toso. The piece, crafted in the 1960s, is a representative example of high-quality Murano craftsmanship from the Mid-Century Modern period. The base of the lamp is mouth-blown from white opaline glass. The surface is hand-decorated with organic, multicolored glass flecks in shades such as deep blue, yellow, green, and brown. Subtle additions of aventurine, recognizable by its shimmering copper-colored particles, enrich the texture and contribute to the object's exclusive appearance. The lamp is in good vintage condition, with the glass retaining its original luster and vibrant colors. The authentic details and meticulous finish attest to the quality of production.
