Product description
A vintage ceramic dip bowl, manufactured by Potterie Oud Delft in the Netherlands. This piece is a fine example of traditional Delft Blue earthenware, entirely hand-painted with classic floral motifs. The design is distinctive and functional, featuring a raised ring in the center specifically intended for serving a sauce or dip, making it a unique and practical table piece. The bowl is made of high-quality ceramic and has a diameter of 21 centimeters and a height of 6 centimeters. The decoration is executed in the iconic cobalt blue color on a bright white background. The underside is marked with the Oud Delft stamp, model number 835, the initials 'D.S.' of the plate painter, and the year letters 'CE', which place the production period in the 1950s-1960s. This object is in excellent vintage condition and shows careful preservation over the years. The glaze exhibits a subtle and even craquelure, adding character and authenticity appropriate for the age of the piece. The bowl is otherwise completely intact, without chips or hairline cracks. A beautiful, timeless collector's item for lovers of Dutch pottery.
