A vintage Danish pine floor lamp attributed to +LYS Denmark, produced in Denmark during the 1960s. Crafted predominantly from solid pine, the lamp features a height- and angle-adjustable wooden arm, circular base and directional shade, giving this Scandinavian modern floor lamp a particularly warm and functional mid-century character. Maker: +LYS Denmark Origin: Denmark Period: 1960s Style: Scandinavian Modern / Mid-Century Modern / Danish Modern Materials: Pine, metal hardware, fabric shade Dimensions: 60 W x 28 D x 145 H cm (23.6 W x 11 D x 57.1 H in) The lamp has a beautifully simple wooden construction built around a slender turned pine stem and circular base. Its articulated upper arm can be positioned at different heights and angles using the wooden sliding joint, allowing the silhouette to shift from upright and compact to more extended and directional. Rounded timber details soften the geometry, while the visible pine grain gives the piece a warm, tactile presence. The restrained hardware and small cream adjustment knob add subtle contrast without interrupting the natural character of the wood. The current cream shade is a modern replacement/refurbished shade and complements the original construction without being presented as period-original. +LYS Denmark produced Scandinavian lighting characterised by straightforward wooden construction and adjustable forms. Documented +LYS pieces from the 1960s include pine table and floor lamps with articulated wooden arms. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The pine shows surface scratches, small marks, areas of rubbing and a naturally developed patina, particularly around the base and adjustment mechanism. There is a small historical repair to the wooden adjustable joint, as shown in the photos; the structure remains stable and fully functional. The metal hardware shows light age-related wear.
